Starting February 25, 2025, Arizona State Parks and Trails will implement increased fees to support park operations and improvements. Before embarking on a visit to your chosen state park destination, be sure to visit that park’s webpage for details on the entry fee where and when you go.
Key Changes:
- Annual Pass: The previous options of a $75 standard pass and a $200 premium pass will be consolidated into a single $200 pass. This pass grants unrestricted access to all parks for up to four adults in one vehicle for a year.
- Camping Fees: Rates will range from $25 for rustic sites without hookups to $75 for oversized sites with full hookups at Fool Hollow Lake Recreation Area.
- Day Use Entry Fees: Depending on the park and season, fees will vary between $10 and $30 per adult.

As a self-sustaining agency, AZ State Parks says that these adjustments are essential for funding staffing, maintenance, and enhancements across the state’s 33 parks.
“We are known for having beautiful, clean, safe parks that showcase the diversity and beauty of Arizona,” said Arizona State Parks and Trails Director Bob Broscheid. “To help us continue to provide the best customer service, and keep up with our aging infrastructure, it is necessary for us to raise our rates. Of course, spending more is never anyone’s favorite thing, but I think the public will be happy to know that the fees go directly into supporting the parks they love.”
These fee adjustments aim to enhance visitor experiences by funding extended operational hours, additional programs like guided hikes, and infrastructure improvements such as upgraded restrooms and campgrounds.
