Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests remind recreationists to be sure they have the most up-to-date information on the locations they plan to visit before embarking on any adventure. Visit Recreation.gov to make reservations and to learn about first-come-first-served sites.

As a reminder, group gatherings such as family reunions and weddings involving 75 or more people (participants and spectators) requires a Noncommercial Group Use Permit (36 CFR 251.51).

A caution from Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests:

Visitors [should] avoid traveling on wet, muddy roads and trails. Wet road conditions, caused by spring run-off, can lead to long-term detrimental effects. Driving on weather impacted roads causes tire ruts, soil erosion, habitat degradation, and resource damage.

Public safety is a top priority for the ASNFs, and visitors should be aware that they can become stuck in snow or mud, often many miles from assistance, and in areas with little to no cellular service.

Visitors are urged to be prepared by bringing plenty of water, food, and warm clothing, and always let someone know where you are going and when you expect to return. To ensure you have a safe and enjoyable trip go to our Outdoor Safety & Ethics webpage to make sure you are prepared.

Discover all of the exciting recreation opportunities by visiting the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests website.
