Prescott National Forest has opened these developed recreation sites as of Wednesday, May 1, 2024:
- Group Campgrounds
- Day-Use Sites
- Family Campgrounds
- Cabin Rentals
Extended hours:
- Operational hours at day-use sites, starting on May 1, are extended thanks to the longer daylight hours. Gates open at 6 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. daily through September 30.
Most Prescott National Forest campgrounds accept reservations and a few sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

When visiting the forest, Prescott NF remind recreationists to remember to:
- Be a good steward and recreate responsibly.
- Park only in designated areas. Do not impede emergency access by blocking roadways, fire lanes or driveways.
- Follow “Leave No Trace” principles, including “pack it in, pack it out” with your trash, to avoid creating a public health hazard for forest visitors and employees.
